Abstract
A method includes causing, at a first user equipment (UE), transmission of at least one positioning reference signal (PRS) to a second UE via a sidelink (SL) communication based on first positioning assistance data. The transmission enables the second UE to determine positioning measurements from at least part of the at least one PRS.
Claims21
1-29. (canceled)
A method of operating a first user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
- obtaining positioning assistance data;
- and
- transmitting at least one positioning reference signal (PRS) to a second UE via a sidelink (SL) communication based on the positioning assistance data, wherein transmitting the at least one PRS is to enable the second UE to determine positioning measurements from at least part of the at least one PRS.
The method of claim 10, wherein the second positioning assistance data associated with the first UE comprises a location and speed of the first UE when transmitting the at least one PRS.
One or more non-transitory, computer-readable media having instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause a first user equipment (UE) to:
- obtain at least one positioning reference signal (PRS) from a second UE via a sidelink communication based on first positioning assistance data;
- and
- determine positioning measurements from at least part of the at least one PRS.
An apparatus of a base station, the apparatus comprising:
- memory to store positioning assistance data, the positioning assistance data to enable transmission or measurement of positioning reference signals (PRSs) via a sidelink interface;
- and
- processing circuitry, coupled with the memory, the processing circuitry to:
- generate a message to include the positioning assistance data;
- and
- transmit the message to a user equipment.
