A triggering method for joint channel estimation, in which a use equipment (UE) sends a message related to the joint channel estimation to a network device, so that the network device determines whether to perform the joint channel estimation based on the message; a triggering method for joint channel estimation, in which a network device receives a message related to the joint channel estimation and determines, based on the message, whether to perform the joint channel estimation; a UE, including a processor and a memory.

- sending a message related to the joint channel estimation to a network device, so that the network device determines whether to perform the joint channel estimation based on the message.
