Abstract
A drive recorder to be mounted on a vehicle includes an acquisition unit, a recording unit, a communication unit, and a control unit. The acquisition unit acquires data representing driving condition. The recording unit records the acquired data. The communication unit transmits the acquired data to the outside. The control unit controls the quality of the data to be transmitted based on the information received from the outside.
Claims21
An apparatus to be mounted on a vehicle, the apparatus comprising:
- a communication interface configured to perform data communication via a network;
- a memory configured to store instructions;
- and
- a processor configured to execute the instructions to:
- receive, from an external device via the communication interface, a condition concerning a change in acceleration of the vehicle;
- receive, from the external device via the communication interface, a command to activate control for storing respective video files in one of two different storage areas based on the condition;
- acquire acceleration data of the vehicle;
- in a case that the control is activated, determine whether or not the acceleration data satisfies the condition concerning a change in acceleration of the vehicle;
- when the acceleration data satisfies the condition, store a first video file in a first storage area;
- and
- when the acceleration data does not satisfy the condition, store a second video file in a second storage area.
A method comprising:
- receiving, from an external device via the communication interface, a condition concerning a change in acceleration of the vehicle;
- receiving, from the external device via the communication interface, a command to activate control for storing respective video files in one of two different storage areas based on the condition;
- acquiring acceleration data of the vehicle;
- in a case that the control is activated, determining whether or not the acceleration data satisfies the condition concerning a change in acceleration of the vehicle;
- when the acceleration data satisfies the condition, storing a first video file in a first storage area;
- and
- when the acceleration data does not satisfy the condition, storing a second video file in a second storage area.
A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program comprising instructions for causing a computer, to execute processing of:
- receiving, from an external device via the communication interface, a condition concerning a change in acceleration of the vehicle;
- receiving, from the external device via the communication interface, a command to activate control for storing respective video files in one of two different storage areas based on the condition;
- acquiring acceleration data of the vehicle;
- in a case that the control is activated, determining whether or not the acceleration data satisfies the condition concerning a change in acceleration of the vehicle;
- when the acceleration data satisfies the condition, storing a first video file in a first storage area;
- and
- when the acceleration data does not satisfy the condition, storing a second video file in a second storage area.
