Abstract
The present invention concerns a method for the molecular detection of an infectious agent based on isothermal amplification by recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) combined with a Magnetic Field-Enhanced Agglutination (MFEA) readout.
Claims16
An in vitro method for detecting an infectious agent, comprising:
- submitting a nucleic acid extract of a sample likely to contain the infectious agent to a recombinase polymerase amplification, followed by magnetic-field enhanced agglutination assay;
- and
- determining if the infectious agent is present in the sample based on the result of the magnetic-field enhanced agglutination assay.
