Communication method

A user equipment used in a mobile communication system for supporting a multicast and broadcast service (MBS), the user equipment comprising:

• a receiver configured to:
• receive an MBS session provided by a first cell through Point-to-Multipoint (PTM) when the user equipment is in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state in the first cell;
• receive, from the first cell, an RRC Reconfiguration message indicating handover to a second cell;
• and
• receiving the MBS session provided by the second cell after the handover, wherein
• the RRC Reconfiguration message comprises MBS reception configuration for receiving the MBS session provided by the second cell.

A network node used in a mobile communication system for supporting a multicast and broadcast service (MBS), the network node comprising:

• a transmitter configured to:
• transmit an MBS session provided by a first cell through Point-to-Multipoint (PTM) to a user equipment being in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state in the first cell;
• and
• transmit, to the user equipment, an RRC Reconfiguration message indicating handover to a second cell, wherein
• the RRC Reconfiguration message comprises MBS reception configuration for receiving the MBS session provided by the second cell.

A chipset for a user equipment used in a mobile communication system for supporting a multicast and broadcast service (MBS), the chipset comprising:

• a circuitry configured to:
• receive an MBS session provided by a first cell through Point-to-Multipoint (PTM) when the user equipment is in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state in the first cell;
• receive, from the first cell, an RRC Reconfiguration message indicating handover to a second cell;
• and
• receiving the MBS session provided by the second cell after the handover, wherein
• the RRC Reconfiguration message comprises MBS reception configuration for receiving the MBS session provided by the second cell.

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program that, when the program is executed by a user equipment used in a mobile communication system for supporting a multicast and broadcast service (MBS), cause the user equipment to:

• receive an MBS session provided by a first cell through Point-to-Multipoint (PTM) when the user equipment is in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state in the first cell;
• receive, from the first cell, an RRC Reconfiguration message indicating handover to a second cell;
• and
• receiving the MBS session provided by the second cell after the handover, wherein
• the RRC Reconfiguration message comprises MBS reception configuration for receiving the MBS session provided by the second cell.
