Abstract
A method of processing media data. The method includes filtering a sample of a video unit using one or more virtual filters of a fusion mode to produce a filtering result; and performing a conversion between a video including the video unit and a bitstream of the video based on the sample as filtered. A corresponding video coding apparatus and non-transitory computer-readable recording medium are also disclosed.
Claims20
A method for processing video data, comprising:
- filtering, during a conversion between a video comprising a video unit and a bitstream of the video, a sample of the video unit using one or more virtual filters of a fusion mode to produce a filtering result;
- and
- performing the conversion based on the sample as filtered,
- wherein the sample comprises a sample in an adaptive loop filter (ALF) processing unit, and
- wherein the fusion mode comprises an ALF fusion mode, and wherein the one or more virtual filters are generated by the ALF fusion mode.
An apparatus for processing video data comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a non-transitory memory with instructions thereon,
- wherein the instructions upon execution by the processor, cause the processor to:
- filter, during a conversion between a video comprising a video unit and a bitstream of the video, a sample of the video unit using one or more virtual filters of a fusion mode to produce a filtering result;
- and
- perform the conversion based on the sample as filtered,
- wherein the sample comprises a sample in an adaptive loop filter (ALF) processing unit, wherein the fusion mode comprises an ALF fusion mode, and wherein the one or more virtual filters are generated by the ALF fusion mode.
A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a bitstream of a video which is generated by a method performed by a video processing apparatus, wherein the method comprises:
- filtering, for the video comprising a video unit, a sample of the video unit using one or more virtual filters of a fusion mode to produce a filtering result;
- and
- generating the bitstream based on the sample as filtered,
- wherein the sample comprises a sample in an adaptive loop filter (ALF) processing unit, wherein the fusion mode comprises an ALF fusion mode, and wherein the one or more virtual filters are generated by the ALF fusion mode.
