Transaction guidance for self-service terminals (ssts)

A system comprising:

• at least one server that comprises at least one processor;
• and
• the at least one processor executes instructions that cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
• receiving current transaction states of a transaction terminal during a transaction of an operator at the transaction terminal;
• obtaining transaction guidance data and a surface identifier for a surface adjacent to a peripheral of the transaction terminal that is associated with the transaction guidance data based on a given current transaction state for the transaction;
• instructing the transaction terminal to present the transaction guidance data as feedback to the operator on the surface associated with the surface identifier;
• and
• iterating to the receiving until a certain current transaction state for the transaction indicates that the transaction completed on the transaction terminal.
