Abstract
A system, method, or apparatus for generating a blast plan that can receive blast data comprising geological properties of a blast site, blasthole parameters, and available explosive product. A pattern footage can be determined based on a relationship between the face height, the specific energy of the available explosive product, and the geological properties of the bench. The burden and spacing can be determined from the pattern footage.

1-26. (canceled)
A system for generating a blast plan, the system comprising:
- a memory device to store location data for a blast site acquired from one or more sources;
- a processing unit to:
- determine geological properties for the blast site from the location data;
- generate profiles of portions of the blast site with the geologic properties;
- generate a model of the blast site;
- generate a blast plan for the model based on the geological properties and the profiles, the blast plan comprising an arrangement of blastholes, and explosives to be used for each of the blastholes.
A system for generating a blast plan, the system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the system to:
- receive geological properties of a blast site from one or more sources;
- identify rock classifications that correlate with the geological properties of the blast site;
- generate a model of the blast site;
- determine a pattern of blastholes based on the rock classifications of the blast site;
- and
- determine an explosive for each of the blastholes based on the geological properties.
A system for generating a blast plan, the system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the system to:
- receive blast data comprising geometric and geological properties of a bench of a blast site to be blasted and explosive properties of an available explosive product, wherein the geometric properties of the bench include a face height of the bench;
- determine a pattern footage capable of being properly fragmented by the available explosive product in a blasthole located in the bench, wherein determining the pattern footage comprises determining a relationship between the face height, a specific energy of the available explosive product, and the geological properties of the bench;
- determine a burden and a spacing from the pattern footage;
- and
- generate a blast plan using the burden and the spacing.
