Swirl preburner system and method

A swirl preburner comprising:

• a first core defining:
• a first swirl chamber having a first swirl chamber first end and a first swirl chamber second end, the first swirl chamber comprising a first swirl chamber taper portion that transitions a diameter of the first swirl chamber from a first diameter at the first swirl chamber first end to a second smaller diameter at the first swirl chamber second end that is smaller than the first diameter, and
• an extended cylindrical first swirl chamber tube extending from the first swirl chamber second end, the extended cylindrical first swirl chamber tube having a circular cross-section with a diameter that is equal to the second smaller diameter,
• wherein the first core, including the extended cylindrical first swirl chamber tube and the first swirl chamber, has circular radial symmetry about an axis X that extends through the swirl preburner;
• and
• a second core defining:
• a second swirl chamber having a second swirl chamber first end and a second swirl chamber second end, the second swirl chamber comprising a second swirl chamber taper portion that transitions a diameter of the second swirl chamber from a third diameter at the second swirl chamber first end to a fourth smaller diameter at the second swirl chamber second end that is smaller than the third diameter, the first diameter being smaller than the third diameter and larger than the fourth smaller diameter, and
• an extended cylindrical second swirl chamber tube extending from the second swirl chamber second end, the extended cylindrical second swirl chamber tube having a ring cross-section with a diameter that is equal to the fourth smaller diameter,
• wherein the second core, including the extended cylindrical second swirl chamber tube and the second swirl chamber, has circular radial symmetry about the axis X that extends through the swirl preburner;
• and
• wherein the first swirl chamber taper portion is not surrounded by the second core including the second swirl chamber and the extended cylindrical second swirl chamber tube,
• wherein the second core, including the second swirl chamber, exclusively surrounds the extended cylindrical first swirl chamber tube having a diameter that is equal to the second smaller diameter, and
• wherein the extended cylindrical first swirl chamber tube has the same diameter along the length of the extended cylindrical first swirl chamber tube within the second core, with the same diameter being the diameter that is equal to the second smaller diameter.
