A method for fighting microorganisms responsible for causing body odour, and/or being detrimental to oral health, comprising the following steps:
- (i) providing a composition comprising at least one menthol derivative selected from the group consisting of menthyl ethers, menthone glyceryl acetal, menthone glyceryl ketal or mixtures of both, menthyl esters, menthyl carbonates, semi-esters of menthol with dicarboxylic acids or amides, and mixtures thereof;
- and
- (ii) applying a working amount of said composition to human skin and/or oral cavity.
A method for fighting body odour, comprising applying a composition comprising at least one menthol derivative selected from the group consisting of menthyl ethers, menthone glyceryl acetal, menthone glyceryl ketal or mixtures of both, menthyl esters, menthyl carbonates, semi-esters of menthols with dicarboxylic acid or their amides, and mixtures thereof.
A method for preventing and/or curing gingivitis, plaque formation and/or caries, comprising applying a composition comprising or consisting at least one menthol derivative selected from the group consisting of menthyl ethers, menthone glyceryl acetal, menthone glyceryl ketal or mixtures of both, menthyl esters, menthyl carbonates, semi-esters of menthols with dicarboxylic acid or their amides, and mixtures thereof.
