Media content boundary-aware supplemental content management

A system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having computer-executable instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to perform operations comprising:
• determining media content;
• determining a first encode of the media content with a first resolution;
• determining first information associated with a second encode of the media content with a second resolution;
• determining second information identifying one or more boundaries determined from the second encode;
• encoding the media content as encoded media content based at least in part on the first information and the second information;
• inserting, as inserted supplemental content, supplemental content into the encoded media content;
• and
• streaming, to a user device, the encoded media content with the inserted supplemental content.

A method comprising:

• determining media content;
• determining a first encode of the media content with a first resolution;
• determining one or more first boundaries associated with a second encode of the media content with a second resolution;
• determining one or more second boundaries based at least in part on the second encode;
• encoding the media content as encoded media content based at least in part on the one or more first boundaries and the one or more second boundaries;
• inserting, as inserted supplemental content, supplemental content into the encoded media content, based at least in part on validation of at least one of the second encode, the one or more first boundaries, or the one or more second boundaries;
• and
• streaming, to a user device, the encoded media content with the inserted supplemental content.
