An organic electroluminescence device comprising:

• an emitting layer provided between the anode and the cathode;

• a first layer provided between the anode and the emitting layer, wherein the emitting layer comprises a compound M1 represented by a formula (1) below,
• the compound M1 is a delayed fluorescent compound,
• the first layer comprises a compound M4 represented by a formula (4) below, and
• the compound M4 satisfies a formula (a) and a formula (b) below,
• μH(M4)≤1.0×10−3 cm2/Vs Formula (a):
• S1(M4)≥3.15 eV Formula (b):
• μH(M4) represents hole mobility of the compound M4, and S1(M4) represents a lowest singlet energy of the compound M4,
• where, in the formula (1):
• CN is a cyano group;
• L is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon ring having 6 to 30 ring carbon atoms;
• D11 and D12 are each independently a group represented by a formula (11), (12) or (13) below;
• h is an integer of 2 or more;
• k is an integer of 1 or more;
• m is an integer of 0 or more;
• D11 and D12 are mutually the same or different;
• a plurality of D11 are mutually the same or different;
• and
• a plurality of D12 are mutually the same or different,
• where, in the formula (11):
• at least one combination of adjacent two or more of R1 to R8 are mutually bonded to form a substituted or unsubstituted monocyclic ring, mutually bonded to form a substituted or unsubstituted fused ring, or not mutually bonded;
• in the formula (12):
• at least one combination of adjacent two or more of R11 to R18 are mutually bonded to form a substituted or unsubstituted monocyclic ring, mutually bonded to form a substituted or unsubstituted fused ring, or not mutually bonded;
• in the formula (13):

• a combination of R41 and R42 are mutually bonded to form a substituted or unsubstituted monocyclic ring or a substituted or unsubstituted fused ring;
• the condition (iii):
• at least one combination of adjacent two or more of a plurality of R41 are mutually bonded to form a substituted or unsubstituted monocyclic ring or a substituted or unsubstituted fused ring;
• the condition (iv):
• at least one combination of adjacent two or more of a plurality of R46 are mutually bonded to form a substituted or unsubstituted monocyclic ring or a substituted or unsubstituted fused ring;
• and
• the condition (v):
• at least one R46 is not a hydrogen atom,
