Audible transaction verification with an assistance device

A computer-implemented method, comprising:

• executing, on a processor, instructions that cause the processor to perform operations associated with transaction validation, the operations comprising:
• detecting a payment terminal that supports electronic payment through payment cards at a point of sale;
• determining a transaction amount for validation from the payment terminal;
• generating audio of the transaction amount with a text-to-speech converter;
• and
• initiating playing of the audio on a wearable user assistance device.

A computer-implemented method, comprising:

• detecting a payment terminal that supports electronic payment through payment cards at a point of sale based on detection of a wireless signal from the payment terminal;
• establishing wireless communication with the payment terminal;
• generating an audio version of a transaction amount for validation received from the payment terminal with a text-to-speech converter;
• and
• triggering playing of the audio version on a wearable user assistance device.
