Mobile computing device for use in controlling wirelessly controlled vehicles

A method comprising:

• displaying, on a touchscreen of a device, a user interface element that instructs a movement of a radio-enabled vehicle;
• detecting, on the touchscreen of the device, a selection of the user interface element;
• in response to detecting the selection of the user interface element, accessing accelerometer data and gyroscope data of the device;
• transmitting, by a wireless interface of the device, a radio-enabled vehicle instruction based on a combination of the selection of the user interface element, the accelerometer data, and the gyroscope data;
• and
• displaying, on the touchscreen of the device, an additional user interface element indicating that the radio-enabled vehicle is moving.

A device comprising:

• a memory comprising instructions;
• a touchscreen;
• and
• one or more processors, wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to perform operations comprising:
• displaying, on the touchscreen of the device, a user interface element that instructs a movement of a radio-enabled vehicle;
• detecting, on the touchscreen of the device, a selection of the user interface element;
• in response to detecting the selection of the user interface element, accessing accelerometer data and gyroscope data of the device;
• transmitting, by a wireless interface of the device, a radio-enabled vehicle instruction based on a combination of the selection of the user interface element, the accelerometer data, and the gyroscope data;
• and
• displaying, on the touchscreen of the device, an additional user interface element indicating that the radio-enabled vehicle is moving.

A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by a client device, cause the client device to perform operations comprising:

• displaying, on a touchscreen of a device, a user interface element that instructs a movement of a radio-enabled vehicle;
• detecting, on the touchscreen of the device, a selection of the user interface element;
• in response to detecting the selection of the user interface element, accessing accelerometer data and gyroscope data of the device;
• transmitting, by a wireless interface of the device, a radio-enabled vehicle instruction based on a combination of the selection of the user interface element, the accelerometer data, and the gyroscope data;
• and
• displaying, on the touchscreen of the device, an additional user interface element indicating that the radio-enabled vehicle is moving.
