Inferring intent from pose and speech input

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• a memory for storing instructions for execution by the one or more processors configured to perform operations comprising:
• receiving an image that depicts a first person and a second person;
• identifying a captured pose of the first person depicted in the image;
• receiving speech input comprising an ambiguous intent;
• determining that the captured pose matches a target pose;
• discerning the ambiguous intent of the speech input based on the captured pose of the first person depicted in the image;
• in response to determining that the captured pose matches the target pose, determining that a pronoun of the ambiguous intent refers to the second person depicted in the image;
• and
• performing an operation based on determining that the pronoun of the ambiguous intent refers to the second person depicted in the image.

A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:

• receiving an image that depicts a first person and a second person;
• identifying a captured pose of the first person depicted in the image;
• receiving speech input comprising an ambiguous intent;
• determining that the captured pose matches a target pose;
• discerning the ambiguous intent of the speech input based on the captured pose of the first person depicted in the image;
• in response to determining that the captured pose matches the target pose, determining that a pronoun of the ambiguous intent refers to the second person depicted in the image;
• and
• performing an operation based on determining that the pronoun of the ambiguous intent refers to the second person depicted in the image.
