Abstract
A method is disclosed. The method may comprise adding a hydrophobization agent to wet pulp; drying the wet pulp, thereby obtaining dried pulp; wherein the dried pulp is intended for defibrillating into fibers, thereby obtaining the modified pulp; or the method further comprises defibrillating the dried pulp into fibers, thereby obtaining the modified pulp.

A method for preparing modified pulp, wherein the method comprises adding a hydrophobization agent to wet pulp;
- drying the wet pulp, thereby obtaining dried pulp;
- wherein the dried pulp is intended for defibrillating into fibers, thereby obtaining the modified pulp;
- or the method further comprises defibrillating the dried pulp into fibers, thereby obtaining the modified pulp.
A method for preparing modified pulp, wherein the method comprises defibrillating dried pulp, thereby obtaining the modified pulp;
- wherein the dried pulp is obtainable by adding a hydrophobization agent to wet pulp and by drying the wet pulp.
Modified pulp, wherein the modified pulp is defibrillated and exhibits an absorption time of at least 20 seconds.
