Abstract
A tank screen (10) having at least one contact region or contact area (14) for positioning the tank screen relative to a tank inlet, a solid wall (16) having a portion extending above the at least one contact area or contact region (14), and a mesh screen (18) for filtering leaves from water entering the rainwater tank, the mesh screen (18)comprising a mesh side wall (20) that has an upper region located above the at least one contact area or contact region (14), the at least the upper region of the mesh sidewall (20) being at least partly enclosed by the solid sidewall (16).
Claims18
A tank screen having:
- at least one contact region or contact area for positioning the tank screen relative to a tank inlet,
- a solid wall having a portion extending above the at least one contact area or contact region,
- a mesh screen for filtering leaves from water entering the tank, the mesh screen comprising a mesh side wall that has an upper region located above the at least one contact area or contact region and a mesh base positioned at a lower region of the mesh sidewall, and
- the mesh sidewall extends downwardly from or near an upper part of the solid sidewall, the upper region of the mesh sidewall being at least partly enclosed by the solid sidewalk;
- a laterally extending lip or flange that extends partly around the tank screen;
- and
- a downwardly extending wall or skirt extending downwardly from the laterally extending lip or flange;
- wherein
- in use, the laterally extending lip or flange is positioned above the tank inlet and the downwardly extending wall or skirt extends below the tank inlet.

- at least one contact region or contact area for positioning the tank screen relative to a tank inlet,
- a solid wall having a portion extending above the at least one contact area or contact region,
- a mesh screen for filtering leaves from water entering the tank,
- a laterally extending lip or flange that extends partly around the tank screen;
- and
- a downwardly extending wall or skirt extending downwardly from the laterally extending lip or flange;
- wherein the mesh screen comprising a mesh side wall that has an upper region located above the at least one contact area or contact region and a mesh base positioned at a lower region of the mesh sidewall, the mesh sidewall extends downwardly from or near an upper part of the solid sidewall, the solid sidewall forming a splash guard for at least the upper region of the mesh sidewalk;
- and, in use, the laterally extending lip or flange is positioned above the tank inlet and the downwardly extending wall or skirt extends below the tank inlet.
