Abstract
Devices for therapeutic interaction with an Abreu brain thermal tunnel (ABTT) terminus. Such devices provide heat to or remove heat from the ABTT terminus, and may also provide heat to or remove heat from veins connected to the ABTT. Therapeutic devices for engaging with the ABTT terminus benefit from diagnostics obtained at the ABTT terminus, or from other locations on the body.

A device configured to control the temperature of the brain, comprising:
- a support structure configured as a mask;
- a resistive heater positioned to heat a portion of the mask that extends along the superior palpebral vein when the mask is worn by a user;
- a controller configured to actuate the resistive heater;
- and
- a temperature measurement apparatus configured to measure a temperature at an Abreu brain thermal tunnel (ABTT) terminus;
- wherein the controller is configured to operate the resistive heater to provide heat to the palpebral vein until the temperature measurement apparatus measures a predetermined temperature at the ABTT terminus.

A device configured to apply heat or cold to an Abreu brain thermal tunnel (ABTT) terminus, the device comprising:
- a support structure configured as eyeglass frames;
- and
- a resistive heater positioned on the support structure, the resistive heater being positioned to heat a portion of the support structure that extends along the superior palpebral vein when the support structure is worn by a user and the resistive heater being configured to provide thermal exchange with the superior palpebral vein when the support structure is worn by a user.
