Abstract
A connecting device having a tie having a tie knot situated adjacent a throat and a shell that extends downwardly from the tie knot. The connecting device further has a longitudinal loop coupled to a back side of the tie knot and a circular slap neck band inserted through the longitudinal loop, the circular slap neck band extends around a person's neck securing the tie to a shirt worn by the person.

A connecting device, comprising:
- a tie having a tie knot situated adjacent a throat and a shell that extends downwardly from the tie knot;
- a longitudinal loop coupled to a back side of the tie knot;
- and
- a circular slap neck band inserted through the longitudinal loop, the circular slap neck band extends around a person's neck securing the tie to a shirt worn by the person.
