A novel maize variety designated X08V018 and seed, plants and plant parts thereof are produced by crossing inbred maize varieties. Methods for producing a maize plant by crossing hybrid maize variety X08V018 with another maize plant are disclosed. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X08V018 through backcrossing or genetic transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby are described. Maize variety X08V018, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X08V018 are provided. Methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X08V018 and methods of using maize variety X08V018 are disclosed.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08V018, representative seed produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH4DAC with a second plant of variety 1PYRA69, wherein representative seed of the varieties PH4DAC and 1PYRA69 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-)000(and PTA-)00(X, respectively.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X08V018 further comprising a single locus conversion, wherein a plant grown from the seed comprises a trait conferred by the single locus conversion, and wherein the seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH4DAC with a second plant of variety 1PYRA69, wherein the first plant, the second plant or both further comprise the single locus conversion, and wherein representative seed of the varieties PH4DAC and 1PYRA69 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-)000(and PTA-)00(X, respectively.
A method for producing a hybrid maize variety X08V018 seed further comprising a locus conversion, the method comprising crossing a first plant of variety PH4DAC with a second plant of variety 1PYRA69, representative seed of the varieties PH4DAC and 1PYRA69 having been deposited under ATCC Accession Numbers PTA-X)0(X and PTA-XXXX, respectively, wherein at least one of the varieties PH4DAC and 1PYRA69 further comprises the locus conversion.
