Abstract
A communication method includes obtaining, by a first network element, first reduced capability (REDCAP) information from a terminal apparatus, obtaining, by the first network element, second REDCAP information that is subscribed by the terminal apparatus, and determining, by the first network element based on the first REDCAP information and the second REDCAP information, whether to allow the terminal apparatus to use a service corresponding to the first REDCAP information.

A communication method, comprising:
- obtaining, by a first network element, first reduced capability £REDCAPS information from a terminal apparatus;
- obtaining, by the first network element, second REDCAP information that is subscribed by the terminal apparatus;
- and
- determining, by the first network element based on the first REDCAP information and the second REDCAP information, whether to allow the terminal apparatus to use a service corresponding to the first REDCAP information.

- sending, by a terminal apparatus, first reduced capability (REDCAP) information;
- and
- receiving, by the terminal apparatus, indication information from a first network element based on the first REDCAP information, wherein the indication information is usable to indicate whether to allow the terminal apparatus to use a service corresponding to the first REDCAP information.
A communication apparatus, comprising:
- a processor, and a memory, wherein the processor is coupled to the memory, the memory is configured to store non-transitory instructions, and in response to the non-transitory instructions being executed by the processor, the communication apparatus is configured to perform:
- sending first reduced capability (REDCAP) information;
- and
- receiving indication information from a first network element based on the first REDCAP information, wherein the indication information is usable to indicate whether to allow the terminal apparatus to use a service corresponding to the first REDCAP information.
