System and Method for Providing Secure Network Access to Network-Enabled Devices

A system for providing secure network access to network-enabled devices, the system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one memory, the at least one memory having encoded thereon a sequence of instructions which, when loaded and executed by the at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to:
• create a user profile, automatically, the user profile bound to a physical geographic location, the user profile providing access rights to a network;
• assign, automatically, at least one VLAN to the user profile created, the assigning based on whether there is an existing user profile bound to the physical geographic location;
• and
• associate, automatically, the user profile created with a network-enabled device, the assigning and associating providing the network-enabled device with secure network access to the network.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium for providing secure network access to network-enabled devices, the non-transitory computer-readable medium having encoded thereon a sequence of instructions which, when loaded and executed by at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to:

• create a user profile, automatically, the user profile bound to a physical geographic location, the user profile providing access rights to a network;
• assign, automatically, at least one VLAN to the user profile created, the assigning based on whether there is an existing user profile bound to the physical geographic location;
• and
• associate, automatically, the user profile created with a network-enabled device, the assigning and associating providing the network-enabled device with secure network access to the network.
