Method and apparatus for beam failure recovery in multi-dci based multiple trps

An apparatus for wireless communication, the apparatus comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory coupled to the processor, the memory comprising instructions executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to:
• receive a configuration including a plurality of sets of failure detection beams and a plurality of sets of candidate beams, wherein each set of failure detection beams and each set of candidate beams are associated with one of a plurality of CORESETPoolIndex values;
• and
• transmit a beam failure recovery request in an uplink transmission when all beams in a set of failure detection beams in the plurality of sets of failure detection beams associated with a CORESETPoolIndex value of the plurality of CORESETPoolIndex values fail in a slot.

An apparatus for wireless communication, the apparatus comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory coupled to the processor, the memory comprising instructions executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to:
• transmit a configuration including a plurality of sets of failure detection beams and a plurality of sets of candidate beams, wherein each set of failure detection beams and each set of candidate beams are associated with one of a plurality of CORESETPoolIndex values;
• and
• receive a beam failure recovery request in an uplink transmission when all beams in a set of failure detection beams in the plurality of sets of failure detection beams associated with a CORESETPoolIndex value of the plurality of CORESETPoolIndex values fail in a slot.
