Abstract
There is provided a magnetic recording medium that enables stable traveling upon recording processing and reproduction processing. The magnetic recording medium is a magnetic recording medium having a tape-like shape. The magnetic recording medium includes a substrate and a magnetic layer provided on the substrate. When a weight of the magnetic recording medium is set to one, a rate of a moisture content contained in the magnetic recording medium in a state of being stored in an environment of 23° C. and 45% RH for 24 hours or more is 0.64 wt % or less.
Claims12
A magnetic recording medium having a tape-like shape, the magnetic recording medium comprising:
- a substrate;
- and
- a magnetic layer provided on the substrate, wherein, when a weight of the magnetic recording medium is set to one, a rate of a moisture content contained in the magnetic recording medium in a state of being stored in an environment of 23° C. and 45% RH for 24 hours or more is 0.64 wt % or less.
A magnetic recording cartridge comprising:
- a case;
- and
- a reel around which a magnetic recording medium is wound, the reel being accommodated in the case,
- the magnetic recording medium having a tape-like shape, the magnetic recording medium including
- a substrate, and
- a magnetic layer provided on the substrate, wherein, when a weight of the magnetic recording medium is set to one, a rate of a moisture content contained in the magnetic recording medium in a state of being stored in an environment of 23° C. and 45% RH for 24 hours or more is 0.64 wt % or less.
A recording/reproducing apparatus comprising:
- a spindle on which a magnetic recording medium is configured to be mounted;
- a drive device that drives the spindle;
- and
- a magnetic head that performs recording and reproducing on and from the magnetic recording medium,
- the magnetic recording medium having a tape-like shape, the magnetic recording medium including
- a substrate, and
- a magnetic layer provided on the substrate, wherein, when a weight of the magnetic recording medium is set to one, a rate of a moisture content contained in the magnetic recording medium in a state of being stored in an environment of 23° C. and 45% RH for 24 hours or more is 0.64 wt % or less.
