Abstract
An information processing apparatus according to one example embodiment is an information processing apparatus that performs a checkout process for a product or a service, and the information processing apparatus includes: a motion unit that causes the information processing apparatus to autonomously move; a detection unit configured to detect a position of a person; and a control unit that controls the motion unit in accordance with the position of the person.

An information processing apparatus comprising:
- a memory storing instructions;
- and
- a processor configured to execute the instructions to:
- perform a checkout based on information for a product or a service registered;
- and
- control the information processing apparatus to move autonomously to a crowded place or a place near the crowded place as a target place.
An information processing method executed by an information processing apparatus comprising:
- performing a checkout based on information for a product or a service registered;
- and
- controlling the information processing apparatus to move autonomously to a crowded place or a place near the crowded place as a target place.
