Multi-party machine learning using a database cleanroom

A computer system comprising:

• at least one hardware processor;
• and
• one or more non-transitory computer readable storage media containing instructions that, when executed by the at least one hardware processor, cause the computer system to perform operations comprising:
• installing, in a consumer database account, a shared-instance database that comprises a shared instance of a provider-account database that resides in a provider database account, the shared-instance database comprising a first schema that includes provider-account training data and a training function;
• and
• invoking the training function from the consumer database account, the invoking of the training function causing the at least one hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
• creating, in the consumer database account, a second schema that includes a machine-learning-model instance of a machine learning model, the machine-learning-model instance that is created by the invoking of the training function being not accessible to be used by the consumer database account;
• training the machine-learning-model instance subsequent to the creation of the machine-learning-model instance with at least the provider-account training data, the provider-account training data accessed locally by the consumer database account via the shared-instance database.

One or more non-transitory computer readable storage media containing instructions that, when executed by at least one hardware processor of a computer system, cause the computer system to perform operations comprising:

• installing, in a consumer database account, a shared-instance database that comprises a shared instance of a provider-account database that resides in a provider database account, the shared-instance database comprising a first schema that includes provider-account training data and a training function;
• and
• invoking the training function from the consumer database account, the invoking of the training function causing the at least one hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
• creating, in the consumer database account a second schema that includes a machine-learning-model instance of a machine learning model, the machine-learning-model instance that is created by the invoking of the training function being not accessible to be used by the consumer database account and,
• training the machine-learning_model instance subsequent to the creation of the machine-learning-model instance with at least the provider-account training data, the provider-account training data accessed locally by the consumer database account via the shared-instance database.
