Abstract

An elastomer composition, containing a butadiene-based elastomer, and a temperature-responsive resin that changes its hydrophilicity with changes in temperature, the elastomer composition satisfying the following relationships at two given temperatures differing by at least 10° C.: (Elastic modulus at lower temperature and when immersed in water)/(Elastic modulus at lower temperature and when dry)≤0.95, and (Elastic modulus at higher temperature and when immersed in water)/(Elastic modulus at higher temperature and when dry)>0.95, the lower temperature being lower than 25° C.
