Abstract
A light-emitting element includes a first light-emitting layer including a plurality of first quantum dots and a plurality of spacer particles. The plurality of first quantum dots each includes a first core and a first shell coating the first core and having an outermost layer containing either a metal chalcogenide complex or a metal chalcogenide compound.
Claims23
A light-emitting element, comprising:
- a first electrode;
- a second electrode disposed across from the first electrode;
- and
- a first light-emitting layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and including a plurality of first quantum dots and a spacer particle, the plurality of first quantum dots each including a first core and a first shell coating the first core and having an outermost layer containing either a metal chalcogenide complex or a metal chalcogenide compound, wherein the spacer particle includes:
- a second core;
- and a second shell coating the second core and having an outermost layer containing either a metal chalcogenide complex or a metal chalcogenide compound.

A display device, comprising
- a plurality of light-emitting elements,
- wherein each of the plurality of light-emitting elements includes:
- a first electrode;
- a second electrode disposed across from the first electrode;
- and
- a first light-emitting layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and including a plurality of first quantum dots and a spacer particle, the plurality of first quantum dots each including a first core and a first shell coating the first core and having an outermost layer containing either a metal chalcogenide complex or a metal chalcogenide compound,
- the plurality of light-emitting elements include a first light-emitting element and a second light-emitting element,
- the first light-emitting element includes, in the first light-emitting layer, a long-wavelength light-emitting core as the first core and a first spacer particle as the spacer particle,
- the second light-emitting element includes, in the first light-emitting layer, a short-wavelength light-emitting core as the first core and a second spacer particle as the spacer particle,
- the long-wavelength light-emitting core has a peak emission wavelength longer than a peak emission wavelength of the short-wavelength light-emitting core, and
- the first spacer particle is larger in particle size than the second spacer particle.
