Abstract
Systems and methods for a datacenter cooling system are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, a thermal test vehicle (TTV) includes an air-cooled heat element associated with a plurality of fins to enable air cooling of a TTV and includes a liquid-cooled heat trace associated with a cold plate to enable liquid cooling of a TTV, where an air-cooled heat element and a liquid-cooled heat trace generate heat to enable separate or concurrent testing of air cooling and liquid cooling in a datacenter cooling system.
Claims20
A datacenter cooling system, comprising:
- a thermal test vehicle (TTV) comprising an air-cooled heat element and a liquid-cooled heat trace, the air-cooled heat element to be associated with a plurality of fins to enable air cooling of the TTV and the liquid-cooled heat trace to be associated with a cold plate to enable liquid cooling of the TTV, the air-cooled heat element and the liquid-cooled heat trace to generate heat to enable separate or concurrent testing of the air cooling and the liquid cooling in the datacenter cooling system.
A processor comprising one or more circuits and associated with a thermal test vehicle (TTV) comprising an air-cooled heat element and a liquid-cooled heat trace, the air-cooled heat element to be associated with a plurality of fins to enable air cooling of the TTV and the liquid-cooled heat trace to be associated with a cold plate to enable liquid cooling of the TTV, the one or more circuits to receive a heating scheme for the TTV and the processor to enable the air-cooled heat element and the liquid-cooled heat trace to generate heat based in part on the heating scheme to enable separate or concurrent testing of the air cooling and the liquid cooling in a datacenter cooling system.
A method for datacenter cooling system, comprising:
- providing a thermal test vehicle (TTV) comprising an air-cooled heat element and a liquid-cooled heat trace, the air-cooled heat element associated with a plurality of fins and the liquid-cooled heat trace associated with a cold plate;
- determining that separate or concurrent testing of air cooling and liquid cooling is to be enabled for testing the datacenter cooling system;
- enabling the air-cooled heat element to be addressed by air cooling of the TTV;
- and
- enabling the liquid-cooled heat trace to be addressed by liquid cooling of the TTV.
