Abstract
A method and a system for fitting or adapting or matching a hearing aid to a user is provided to achieve a high level of acceptance of the user for the hearing aid. In a first step, an interoceptive awareness of the user is established and in a second step, a fitting process for fitting the hearing aid is defined based on the established interoceptive awareness of the user.

A method for fitting a hearing aid to a user of the hearing aid, the method comprising steps of:
- establishing an interoceptive awareness of the user;
- and
- defining a fitting process for fitting the hearing aid based on the established interoceptive awareness of the user.
A system for fitting a hearing aid to a user of the hearing aid, the system comprising:
- a hearing aid;
- and
- a setting device, said setting device configured to establish an interoceptive awareness of the user and to define a fitting process for fitting said hearing aid based on the established interoceptive awareness.
