Abstract
Wireless communication methods are described for a user plane integrity protection failure detection and handling, determination and management of integrity protection enabled data rate that exceeds or is close to exceeding a user equipment's capability or threshold, and management of integrity protection or encryption mechanisms in a dual-connectivity system that includes a master network node and a secondary network node.
Claims18
A wireless communication method, comprising:
- receiving, by a secondary node from a master node, an integrity protection data rate threshold for a user equipment;
- and
- controlling an integrity protection enabled data rate to be less than or equal to the integrity protection data rate threshold, wherein the integrity protection enabled data rate is allocated to the user equipment on one or more data radio bearers (DRBs) terminated at the secondary node.
An apparatus including a processor that is configured to perform a method, comprising:
- receiving, by a secondary node from a master node, an integrity protection data rate threshold for a user equipment;
- and
- controlling an integrity protection enabled data rate to be less than or equal to the integrity protection data rate threshold, wherein the integrity protection enabled data rate is allocated to the user equipment on one or more data radio bearers (DRBs) terminated at the secondary node.
A non-transitory computer readable program storage medium having code stored thereon, the code, when executed by a processor, causing the processor to implement a method comprising:
- receiving, by a secondary node from a master node, an integrity protection data rate threshold for a user equipment;
- and
- controlling an integrity protection enabled data rate to be less than or equal to the integrity protection data rate threshold, wherein the integrity protection enabled data rate is allocated to the user equipment on one or more data radio bearers (DRBs) terminated at the secondary node.
