Abstract
A system and method of in cell sensing is provided. The method may include measuring sensing data from a sensor assembly hermetically sealed within a battery cell. The sensor assembly may include a sensing element, a processor and a radio. The method may further include sending and receiving the sensing data, via the sensor assembly. The sensing data may include at least one of temperature, pressure, voltage and shock of the battery cell.
Claims20
A method of in cell sensing comprising:
- measuring sensing data from a sensor assembly hermetically sealed within a battery cell, wherein the sensor assembly includes a sensing element, a processor and a radio;
- and
- sending and receiving the sensing data, via the sensor assembly, wherein the sensing data includes at least one of temperature, pressure, voltage and shock of the battery cell.
A sensor assembly comprising:
- a sensing element configured to measure sensing data within a battery cell, wherein the sensing data includes at least one of temperature, pressure, voltage and shock;
- a processor in communication with the sensing element;
- and
- a radio in communication with the processor and configured to send and receive sensing data, wherein the sensing element, the processor, and the radio are hermetically sealed within a battery cell.
