Systems and methods for a double-sided battery pack cooling assembly

A double-sided battery pack cooling assembly for an electric aircraft, the assembly comprising:

• a battery pack, the battery pack comprising:
• a first battery section separated from a second battery section by a thermally insulating separator disposed in a negative space between the first battery section and second battery section, wherein each of the first battery section and the second battery section comprises:
• a plurality of battery cells comprising a first stack of battery cells and a second stack of battery cells;
• and
• a cooling plate, located adjacent to a lower side of the battery pack, having a first side and a second side, wherein the first side is in contact with the first stack of battery cells and the second side is in contact with the second stack of battery cells, wherein the cooling plate comprises at least a cooling fin extending towards the thermally insulating separator, wherein the cooling fin comprises a thermally anisotropic material;
• a sensor comprising two dissimilar conductor elements that form an electrical junction, the sensor configured to detect a temperature of the battery pack as function of measuring a temperature dependent voltage across the electrical junction, the sensor connected to the battery pack;
• and
• a controller, the controller communicatively connected to the sensor, the controller configured to monitor the temperature of the battery pack.
