Abstract
A pin for a core layer of a heat exchanger, the pin extending from a first pin end to a second pin end and having an outer surface between the first and second pin ends, wherein the pin comprises a plurality of indentations in the outer surface.

A pin for a layer of a heat exchanger core past which fluid flowing through the layer passes, the pin comprising:
- a first end and a second end;
- and
- an outer surface between the first and second ends,
- wherein a plurality of indentations are provided in the outer surface.
