A method of coating a minor face of an acoustic panel, the acoustic panel comprising two opposed major faces and one or more minor faces that extend between the major faces, the method comprising the steps of applying a powder to at least a part of a minor face, applying a binder to the same part of the minor face, thereby forming a layer of powder and binder on the minor face, and then treating the layer to form a film.
