Method and apparatus for adjusting media parameter

A method for adjusting a media play parameter, comprising:

• receiving, by a network data analytics function network element from a first network element, first information that is used for obtaining network information, wherein the network information comprises one or more of the following:
• network performance prediction information or a media parameter, the network performance prediction information indicates prediction of a network status, the media parameter is used for controlling, selecting, transmitting, or buffering media data, the first network element comprises an access and mobility management function network element, a session management function network element, or an application network element, and the application network element comprises an application function network element or an application server;
• and
• sending, by the network data analytics function network element, the network information to a terminal device.

An apparatus for adjusting a media parameter, wherein the apparatus comprises at least one processor and a communication interface, and the at least one processor is configured to invoke a computer program stored in at least one memory, to enable the apparatus to implement:

• obtaining network information from a network data analytics function network element, wherein the network information comprises one or more of the following:
• network performance prediction information or a media parameter, the network performance prediction information indicates prediction of a network status, and the media parameter is used for controlling, selecting, transmitting, or buffering media data;
• and
• processing the media data based on the network information.

A chip system, wherein the chip system comprises at least one processor and a communication interface, and the at least one processor is configured to invoke a computer program stored in at least one memory, to implement the method comprising:

• obtaining, by a terminal device, network information from a network data analytics function network element, wherein the network information comprises one or more of the following:
• network performance prediction information or a media parameter, the network performance prediction information indicates prediction of a network status, and the media parameter is used for controlling, selecting, transmitting, or buffering media data;
• and
• processing, by the terminal device, the media data based on the network information.
