Abstract
A baseband data transmission system includes a first sending path and a second sending path that have different performance indicators. A first switching unit selects an output of one of the sending paths based on a type of a to-be-transmitted data packet, and sends the output to a sender. In this way, when there is to-be-transmitted data of a plurality of different types, the output of the appropriate sending path may be selected by using the first switching unit without rebooting the data transmission system or performing link renegotiation, so that hybrid transmission of data packets of a plurality of types in the system is implemented.
Claims20
A baseband data transmission system comprising
- a first sending path having a first performance indicator and configure to:
- modulate a data packet to obtain a first modulated data packet;
- and
- send the first modulated data packet;
- a second path parallel to the first sending path, having a second performance indicator, and configured to:
- modulate the data packet to obtain a second modulated data packet;
- and
- send the second modulated data packet;
- and
- a first switch configured to:
- connect to the first sending path and the second sending path, and
- select either the first sending path or the second sending path based on the first performance indicator, the second performance indicator, and a type of the data packet.
A method, comprising:
- modulating, by a first sending path of a baseband data transmission system, a data packet to obtain a first modulated data packet;
- sending, by the first sending path, the first modulated data packet to a first switch of the baseband data transmission system;
- modulating, by a second sending path of the baseband data transmission system, the data packet to obtain a second modulated data packet;
- sending, by the second sending path, the second modulated data packet to the first switch;
- connecting, by the first switch, to the first sending path and the second sending path;
- and
- selecting either the first sending path or the second sending path based on a first performance indicator of the first sending path, a second performance indicator of the second sending path, and a type of the data packet.
