Abstract
Disclosed is a specimen rack transport device comprising: a transport mechanism configured to transport, on a placement surface, a specimen rack holding a specimen container; a flow path member configured to receive a specimen spilled from the specimen container onto the placement surface and cause the specimen to flow through the flow path member; and a collecting container configured to collect the specimen having flowed through the flow path member.
Claims25
A specimen rack transport device comprising:
- a transport mechanism configured to transport, on a placement surface, a specimen rack holding a specimen container;
- a flow path member configured to receive a specimen spilled from the specimen container onto the placement surface and cause the specimen to flow through the flow path member;
- and
- a collecting container configured to collect the specimen having flowed through the flow path member.
A method for collecting a specimen spilled from a specimen container onto a placement surface of a specimen rack transport device comprising a transport mechanism configured to transport, on the placement surface, a specimen rack holding the specimen container, the method comprising:
- receiving the specimen by a flow path member;
- causing the specimen received by the flow path member to flow toward a collecting container by the flow path member;
- and
- collecting, by the collecting container, the specimen having been caused to flow by the flow path member.
