Abstract
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for identifying devices or endpoints connected via a 5GS, in order to provide a desired quality of service (QoS), are described.
Claims25
A method, comprising:
- receiving a message comprising quality of service (QoS) requirements of at least one device, and at least one of a medium access control (MAC) address or internet protocol (IP) address of the at least one device;
- receiving, from a 5GS, information indicating which devices are connected via the 5GS;
- determining that the at least one device for which QoS requirements have been received is connected via the 5GS using the information indicating which devices connected via the 5GS received from the 5GS;
- and
- requesting QoS from the 5GS for the at least one device.

- learning a medium access control (MAC) address of at least one device connected to a 5GS;
- providing information, to an application function (AF), indicating which devices are connected via the 5GS;
- and
- receiving a request for quality of service (QoS), from the AF, for one or more of the devices connected via the 5GS.

- determining that the at least one device for which QoS requirements have been received is connected via the 5GS using the information indicating which devices connected via the 5GS received from the 5GS;
- and
- requesting QoS from the 5GS for the at least one device.
