Distributed ledger system

A method performed by at least one apparatus, wherein the at least one apparatus is part of or corresponds to at least one node of a peer-to-peer network comprising at least two nodes forming at least part of a distributed ledger system, wherein a respective one of the nodes of the peer-to-peer network stores at least a portion of a distributed ledger;

• the method comprising:
• obtaining or causing of obtaining at least one element of trigger information relating to a smart contract;
• determining or causing of determining whether or not the at least one element of the trigger information corresponds to an existing trigger condition for the smart contract, wherein an existing trigger condition is adapted to cause a corresponding transaction to be performed based on the smart contract;
• if the at least one element of trigger information is determined as not corresponding to an existing trigger condition for the smart contract:
• determining or causing of determining, by using a software module implementing a trained model, of a transaction to be performed based on the smart contract;
• and
• performing or causing of performing of the determined transaction.
