In-app transaction validation

A system comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• at least one hardware processor coupled to the memory and comprising instructions that causes the system to perform operations comprising:
• executing an application at a client device, the application associated with a merchant;
• presenting a graphical user interface (GUI) associated with the application at the client device, the GUI including an icon to initiate a request for a payment to the merchant associated with the application;
• receiving an input that selects the icon from the client device;
• accessing a user profile associated with the client device in response to the input that selects the icon;
• generating a payment credential based on user profile data from the user profile;
• authorizing the payment to the merchant based on the payment credential;
• executing the payment to the merchant within the application, based on the authorizing the payment;
• and
• passing a payment token to the merchant responsive to the executing the payment to the merchant within the application, the payment token comprising a validation.

A machine-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:

• executing an application at a client device, the application associated with a merchant;
• presenting a graphical user interface (GUI) associated with the application at the client device, the GUI including an icon to initiate a request for a payment to the merchant associated with the application;
• receiving an input that selects the icon from the client device;
• accessing a user profile associated with the client device in response to the input that selects the icon;
• generating a payment credential based on user profile data from the user profile;
• authorizing the payment to the merchant based on the payment credential;
• executing the payment to the merchant within the application, based on the authorizing the payment;
• and
• passing a payment token to the merchant responsive to the executing the payment to the merchant within the application, the payment token comprising a validation.
