An information processing apparatus capable of communicating with a printing apparatus, the information processing apparatus comprising:

• a first acquisition unit configured to acquire print data on which print processing is to be performed by the printing apparatus;
• a second acquisition unit configured to acquire restriction information concerning printing about a server located outside the information processing apparatus and capable of communicating with the printing apparatus;
• and
• a notification unit configured to, in a case where information concerning the print data satisfies a predetermined condition that is based on the restriction information, perform processing for performing notification about an error in which print processing is not performed.

A control method for an information processing apparatus capable of communicating with a printing apparatus, the control method comprising:

• acquiring print data on which print processing is to be performed by the printing apparatus;
• acquiring restriction information concerning printing about a server located outside the information processing apparatus and capable of communicating with the printing apparatus;
• and
• in a case where information concerning the print data satisfies a predetermined condition that is based on the restriction information, performing processing for performing notification about an error in which print processing is not performed.
