An electronic control device that is mounted in a first vehicle having a vehicle-to-vehicle communication device and controls the first vehicle based on vehicle information of another vehicle, the vehicle information being received by the vehicle-to-vehicle communication device,

• wherein the electronic control device
• detects, on map data, an intersection located ahead in a traveling direction of the first vehicle based on location data and the map data of the first vehicle,
• calculates a first position where a second vehicle is supposed to pass through or stop when the second vehicle is to stop before the intersection, based on second vehicle information that is vehicle information of the second vehicle traveling toward the intersection and that is vehicle information of the second vehicle received by the vehicle-to-vehicle communication device, and
• determines whether or not there is a third vehicle ahead in a traveling direction of the second vehicle based on positional relationship between the first position and a second position that is set in front of the intersection on a road on which the second vehicle is traveling.
