Rechargeable string lights

A lighting device comprising:

• a housing including a first section, a second section, and a third section disposed between the first section and the second section, wherein the third section includes a cylindrical body having a longitudinal length defined between the first section and the second section;
• a rechargeable battery;
• an electronic cord operably coupled to the rechargeable battery, wherein the electronic cord is flexible and coupled to the housing;
• and
• a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) disposed along a length of the electronic cord;
• wherein the cylindrical body of the third section defines a recessed area that receives the electronic cord wrapped around the cylindrical body when the lighting device is in a first configuration.

A lighting device comprising:

• a housing including a first section, a second section, and a third section between the first section and the second section, wherein the third section includes a cylindrical body having a diameter less than a diameter of each of the first section and the second section;
• a rechargeable battery disposed within the third section;
• an electronic cord coupled to the housing and operably coupled to the rechargeable battery, wherein the electronic cord is flexible;
• and
• a plurality of nodes disposed along a length of the electronic cord, each node containing at least one light-emitting diode (LED);
• wherein the lighting device has a first configuration wherein the electronic cord is wrapped around the cylindrical body of the third section and a second configuration wherein the electronic cord is unwrapped from the cylindrical body, the electronic cord being capable of hanging from an external structure to illuminate an area proximate the lighting device.

A lighting device comprising:

• a housing including a first section, a second section, and a third section disposed between the first section and the second section, wherein the third section includes a cylindrical body having a length defining a recessed area between the first section and the second section;
• a rechargeable battery disposed within the third section;
• an electronic cord operably coupled to the rechargeable battery and having a first end fixedly coupled to the housing and a second free end;
• and
• a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) disposed along a length of the electronic cord, each LED disposed within a node;
• wherein in a first configuration of the lighting device, the electronic cord is wrapped around the cylindrical body of the third section, in a second configuration of the lighting device, the electronic cord is unwrapped from the housing such that the electronic cord is capable of hanging from an external structure to illuminate an area proximate the lighting device.
