Abstract
Reconfigurable interconnection nodes and interface modules are provided. The reconfigurable interconnection node includes a circuit board with a processing unit executing instructions stored on memory to provide operating system software, at least one bus, and at least one bus connector. The reprogrammable interconnection node also includes at least one system interface module operably connected to the circuit board via the at least one bus, wherein the system interface module is configured to communicate with or exchange data with at least a first external system.
Claims24
A reconfigurable interconnection node comprising:
- a circuit board including:
- a processing unit executing instructions stored on memory to provide operating system software,
- at least one bus,
- at least one bus connector;
- and
- at least one system interface module operably connected to the circuit board via the at least one bus, wherein the system interface module is configured to communicate with or exchange data with at least a first external system.
An interface module comprising:
- a processor card including:
- one or more reconfigurable processors,
- one or more external bus interfaces, and
- one or more modular connectors;
- and
- at least one mezzanine module configured to connect with the one or more modular connectors of the processor card, wherein the at least one mezzanine module is associated with reconfigurable firmware to implement a first capability associated with a first external system and a second capability associated with a second external system.
