Abstract
A display device includes a display area including a light emitting area and a light blocking area which is adjacent to the light emitting area, a peripheral area adjacent to the display area, a first light emitting element which is in the light emitting area and emits a first light having a first wavelength range, and a color filter layer which is in the light emitting area and includes a photochromic material which is discolored by a second light having a second wavelength range different from the first wavelength range.

A display device comprising:
- a display area including a light emitting area and a light blocking area which is adjacent to the light emitting area;
- a peripheral area adjacent to the display area;
- a first light emitting element which is in the light emitting area and emits a first light having a first wavelength range;
- and
- a color filter layer which is in the light emitting area and includes a photochromic material which is discolored by a second light having a second wavelength range different from the first wavelength range.
A display device comprising:
- a display area including a light emitting area and a light blocking area which is adjacent to the light emitting area;
- a peripheral area adjacent to the display area;
- a light emitting element in the light emitting area;
- and
- a color filter layer which is in the light emitting area and includes an electrochromic material which is discolored by a voltage applied thereto.
An electronic device comprising:
- a display device including:
- a display area including a light emitting area and a light blocking area which is adjacent to the light emitting area;
- a peripheral area adjacent to the display area;
- a first light emitting element which is in the light emitting area and emits a first light having a first wavelength range;
- and
- a color filter layer which is in the light emitting area and includes a photochromic material which is discolored by a second light having a second wavelength range different from the first wavelength range;
- and
- an illumination sensor which detects an external illuminance from outside the display device.
