Transmission method and device

A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a communication system, the method comprising:

• receiving, from a base station, resource configuration information including at least one validation rule;
• identifying one or more valid transmission occasions from transmission occasions based on the resource configuration information;
• and
• performing random access at the one or more valid transmission occasions,
• wherein the resource configuration information received from the base station includes at least one of time-domain uplink resource information, frequency-domain uplink resource information, time-domain downlink resource information or frequency-domain downlink resource information, and
• wherein the one or more transmission occasions correspond to at least one of random access transmission occasions (ROs) and physical uplink shared channel transmission occasions (POs).

A user equipment (UE) in a communication system, the UE comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
• receive, from a base station, resource configuration information including at least one validation rule,
• identify one or more valid transmission occasions from transmission occasions based on the resource configuration information, and
• perform random access at the one or more valid transmission occasions,
• wherein the resource configuration information received from the base station includes at least one of time-domain uplink resource information, frequency-domain uplink resource information, time-domain downlink resource information or frequency-domain downlink resource information, and
• wherein the one or more transmission occasions correspond to at least one of random access transmission occasions (ROs) and physical uplink shared channel transmission occasions (POs).

A method performed by a base station in a communication system, the method including:

• transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), resource configuration information including at least one of time-domain uplink resource information, frequency-domain uplink resource information, time-domain downlink resource information or frequency-domain downlink resource information and at least one validation rule;
• and
• performing random access with the UE at one or more valid transmission occasions,
• wherein the one or more transmission occasions correspond to at least one of random access transmission occasions (ROs) and physical uplink shared channel transmission occasions (POs).

A base station in a communication system, the base station comprising:

• a transceiver;
• and
• a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
• transmit, to a user equipment (UE), resource configuration information including at least one of time-domain uplink resource information, frequency-domain uplink resource information, time-domain downlink resource information or frequency-domain downlink resource information and at least one validation rule, and
• perform random access with the UE at one or more valid transmission occasions,
• wherein the one or more transmission occasions correspond to at least one of random access transmission occasions (ROs) and physical uplink shared channel transmission occasions (POs).
