Apparatus, articles of manufacture, and methods for aircraft communication configuration

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed, cause processor circuitry to at least:

• decrypt a first message received from a first radio of an aircraft, the first radio using a first communication protocol, the aircraft including a second radio to be configured for a second communication protocol different from the first communication protocol;
• and
• in response to a determination that the first message includes radio configuration information associated with the second radio, configure a third radio to transmit a second message to the second radio based on the radio configuration information.

A method comprising:

• decrypting a first message received from a first radio of an aircraft, the first radio using a first communication protocol, the aircraft including a second radio to be configured for a second communication protocol different from the first communication protocol;
• and
• in response to determining that the first message includes radio configuration information associated with the second radio, configuring a third radio to transmit a second message to the second radio based on the radio configuration information.
