Directional sensing signal request

A method of wireless communication performed by a base station, comprising:

• transmitting a first sensing signal;
• receiving a directional sensing signal request from a user equipment (UE), the directional sensing signal request including information indicating a preferred sensing direction for a second sensing signal;
• and
• transmitting the second sensing signal based at least in part on the directional sensing signal request.

A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the memory and the one or more processors configured to:
• receive a first sensing signal transmitted by a base station;
• determine a preferred sensing direction for a second sensing signal based at least in part on the first sensing signal;
• and
• transmit a directional sensing signal request to the base station, the directional sensing signal request including information indicating the preferred sensing direction for the second sensing signal.

A base station for wireless communication, comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the memory and the one or more processors configured to:
• transmit a first sensing signal;
• receive a directional sensing signal request from a user equipment (UE), the directional sensing signal request including information indicating a preferred sensing direction for a second sensing signal;
• and
• transmit the second sensing signal based at least in part on the directional sensing signal request.
