A method for treating seizures in a subject having epilepsy, the method comprising administering a pharmaceutical composition comprising cannabidiol (CBD) and Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) to the subject, wherein the ratio of CBD to THC in the pharmaceutical composition is between about 5:1 and about 1:1.
